FAQs

Do you have a question? Email Michael (click here) and we will get you an answer.

Where is Woodway located?
Woodway is located in Waukesha, Wisconsin

What is the life expectancy of a Woodway treadmill?
150,000 to 200,000 miles for the running surface. Woodway treadmills themselves can and do last significantly longer than this, in fact most of our treadmills sold are still in use today.

What electrical requirements are there?
For speeds up to and including 15 mph need only 120V dedicated circuit (cannot share the neutral) and a NEMA 5-20R receptacle to match the plug we use. For speeds of 16.5 mph, 18 mph, and 20 mph need either a 208V or 220V dedicated circuit and NEMA 6-20R receptacle.

How does Woodway ship its treadmills?
Our treadmills are shipped using a full Van Line Service and are delivered to the exact location within the facility or home. Our freight rates are for a 2 man crew and do not include extras such as stairs, disassembly, inaccessibility by tractor-trailer, etc. If there are unusual circumstances check with Sue Hilbrand.

What is the normal lead time for deliveries?
Lead time can vary, but 4-5 weeks is an average. The treadmills are normally on the road for 5-7 business days, and we call the customers to notify them when it is shipping. The Van Line then calls the customer approximately 2-3 days before the delivery to make the final arrangements.

Can I have 25% elevation on any Woodway model?
25% elevation is available on all units except the Widepath which has a max of 15% elevation.

What sets Woodway apart from Conventional treadmills?
The main items are the individual rubber T-slats and the ball-bearing transportation system (no belts and decks to be changed). The ball-bearings result in less friction, therefore less electricity, less maintenance, and less down time. The rubber T-slats allow for less stress on joints, muscles, and tendons when running. The Woodway running surface eliminates the shock on the body often found with conventional treadmills. The buy-back program and renewal program are also plusses for Woodway.

What is the fastest speed available on a Woodway treadmill?
The Desmo models can be made to go up to 18 mph, and the Pro and Pro XL can reach speeds up to 16.5 mph. The ELG series go up to 25 mph with a 35% elevation.

What is the warranty on refurbished models?
Generally it is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor

Will Woodway put a demo unit in a private home?
No, we will place a demo in a club, university, military base, hospital, etc. but not in a home.

What information will I need to supply to the customer service representative when calling about my Woodway?
Serial number and model of your treadmill.

Where is the serial number located?
On the back side of the control panel or take off the left side cover and it will be located on the left front lower corner of the frame.

What is a dedicated line and do I need one?
Yes. View electrical specs »

Is there a difference between home and commercial products?
No, all Woodway treadmills are manufactured for both commercial and home use. This results in dependable quality no matter what your application is.

Do I need to perform any preventive maintenance on my product?
Every 6 months in a high use facility, (health clubs, fitness facilities) or once a year in a low use facility (home or clinical use.)

What should you clean the running belt with?
Fantastic or 409 spray cleaner, or contact our service department for our recommended cleaner.

Why is my running belt moving real slow?
The drive board is out of calibration. Call Woodway service department for instructions on performing this calibration. Contact Us »

Is it normal for the black foam to crack between the slats of the running belt?
Yes, the black foam is a cushion for the running belt. The slats are screwed through the foam to keep it under the slats, and overtime this foam will crack but will not negate the treadmill tracks performance or comfort. Woodway Display »

Why won’t my treadmill turn on?
Make sure the power switch is turned on. It is located at the lower top right corner of the treadmill where the power cord is located. If the switch is on and your circuit is live, yet the treadmill will still not power up, call Woodway Service. Contact Us »

Do you offer financing options?
