ProSmart: Getting Connected and Staying Updated

May 11th, 2021

WOODWAY strongly encourages customers and end-users to connect their treadmills to internet, create a ProSmart account, and keep your treadmill updated. The benefits of doing so are numerous, such as:

Connected Treadmill
Enables account creation, internet browsing, video streaming, and automatic updates.

ProSmart Account
Allows you to save workouts and data, access historical workout data, save internet/streaming passwords – but must be connected to the internet.

Treadmill Updates
Keeping your treadmill updated allows us to make the best even better by providing access to new workouts, real/virtual runs, workout dashboards, app and 3rd party integration, as well as on-going improvements/enhancements – best of all, it’s free.

Getting Connected

Your treadmill is capable of a wired or wireless internet connection.

Wired Connection:

  1. For a wired connection, plug an Ethernet cable from your internet source into the Ethernet port location on the same bracket as the “ON/OFF” switch.
  2. Open “Settings” and then select the “Network” tab.
  3. Ensure the “Connection” toggle is set to “Wired.”
  4. Press “Apply Config.” – the treadmill should momentarily show “Connected.”

Wireless Connection:

  1. Open “Settings” and then select the “Network” tab.
  2. Ensure the “Connection” toggle is set to “Wireless.”
  3. Enter your Wi-Fi address into the “Access Point” field.
  4. Entire your password into the “Key” field.
  5. Press “Apply Config.” – the treadmill should momentarily show “Connected.”

Treadmill Updates:

There are generally three ways to ensure your treadmill remains updated. While you are not required to keep your treadmill updated, we recommend doing so for the best possible experience.

Automatic Update:
If your treadmill is connected to the internet, it should automatically update overnight whenever a new release occurs. If this does not occur, then you may have “Automatic updates toggled off.”

To turn “Auto Update” on/off do the following:

  1. Go to “Settings” and then click “Advanced Settings” under the “General” tab.
  2. Click the “OS” tab.
  3. Slide the “Auto Update” button on/off.

Manual Update:
If you would prefer to manually update your treadmill, do the following:

  1. Go to “Settings” and then click the “OS” tab.
  2. Push the “Update via Internet” button.

The update typically takes less than 10 minutes depending on your internet connection strength.

Physical Update:
If you do not have the ability to connect to the internet, or your connection is too weak, you will need to call our service department to discuss your options. It will likely require a service tech doing a physical update to the software stick within the treadmill hardware (a service tech visit likely require a fee).

To contact our service department with questions or concerns, please call 1-800-WOODWAY ext. 3 or email service@woodway.com – please have your serial number available for reference.
